How do the treadmill models differ, and which should I choose?
Everyone trains differently, so our treadmills are designed for different goals and spaces. Whether you want a relaxed walk while working or an intense run, you can find equipment that matches your pace. The main differences to consider are:
- Maximum speed and power: From the compact WalkLite walking treadmill, designed for brisk walking, to full-size training treadmills suitable for running.
- Design and folding: All our models save space, and some can easily slide flat under a bed.
- Running surface: Larger models offer a wider running belt for greater freedom and comfort with longer strides, while smaller treadmills are ideal for compact spaces.
Tip: Check the specification table on each product page, compare the features and choose the model that best suits your home training routine.
How should I look after my treadmill? Basic maintenance tips
Regular care helps keep your treadmill in good condition for longer and ensures quiet, smooth operation during every workout. You do not need specialist tools — just a few simple tasks carried out regularly.
What should you remember?
- Lubricate the running beltApply silicone oil beneath the running belt periodically. Proper lubrication reduces friction, protects the drive components and helps the equipment run smoothly.
- Check belt tension and alignmentRegularly check that the running belt is correctly tensioned and centred. This helps keep your workouts safe and the treadmill running evenly.
- Keep the equipment cleanAfter a workout, wipe the belt and casing with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid strong detergents and try not to place the treadmill in very dusty areas.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructionsThe user manual supplied with the equipment contains detailed guidance on maintenance, lubrication intervals and belt adjustment.
Does an electric treadmill use a lot of electricity?
No. Modern electric treadmills are designed to use energy efficiently, so everyday use does not usually result in high electricity bills. During walking or moderate running, the equipment uses only part of its maximum power. In practice, this means the cost of a single workout is low.
What should you know?
- Low energy use during everyday workoutsUnder normal use, a treadmill consumes considerably less energy than you might expect. A half-hour workout typically costs only a few tenths of a Polish złoty.
- Maximum power does not mean constant energy useThe value listed in the specifications indicates maximum power consumption, reached only under the most demanding conditions, such as acceleration or running at top speed.
- An efficient modern motorThe motors used in Gymio treadmills are optimised for home use, delivering smooth operation while limiting energy consumption.
- Regular workouts without high running costsEven with frequent treadmill use, monthly electricity costs remain low, so you can train comfortably without a substantial increase in your electricity bills.
Is a treadmill suitable for a flat?
Yes. Modern home treadmills are designed to work well in flats and apartment buildings. They combine compact dimensions with quiet operation, taking up little space while providing comfortable workouts.
What are the benefits?
- Space savingMany Gymio models fold away after a workout and can be stored under a bed, behind a sofa or against a wall. This is particularly useful in smaller flats.
- Quiet operationModern motors and cushioning systems help reduce the noise and vibration produced when walking or running.
- Comfort for your household and neighboursThe treadmill’s design and cushioning ensure smooth operation and significantly reduce vibration transferred to the floor, allowing you to train at different times of day without excessive noise.
- Ideal for everyday exerciseA home treadmill lets you stay active regardless of the weather or season, without taking up valuable floor space once your workout is over.
What should I do if my equipment displays an error?
You can find explanations of error messages in the product manual. If you are unsure, contact us.
